After seeing a ton of success with the refreshed ‘19 Silverado, Chevy decided to improve upon that platform with the 2020 Silverado seeing the quality of life improvements and not much else. The 2020 Silverado takes everything that its fantastic predecessor did and does it even better, adding things like trailer mirrors, power-folding mirrors, and adaptive cruise control.
Chevy decided to add a new exterior color, Carbon Black Metallic while removing the option for Oakwood Metallic paint. Other than paint options, Chevy kept the Silverados exterior the same for the 2020 year, as you don’t fix what isn’t broken.
Rated by consumers at an 83 out of 100 in reliability, coming in third for the 2020s most reliable truck models, the Silverado shares the same engine options as the previous model year. The 2020 Silverado was the final year for a Double Cab 1500 in LTZ, SLT, and AT4 trims.
