If you crave more customization, you’ll want to opt for the RS or Premier model, which allows you to add on more technology and features, such as 21” gloss black aluminum wheels. How is the Chevy Blazer powered?
Three exciting engine options are available on the 2021 Blazer, and each is paired to the Chevrolet racing-inspired 9-speed automatic transmission. You can choose from the following engine options:
- A 3.6L V6 engine, standard on RS and available on 2LT, 3LT and Premier, generates 308 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque, with an EPA-estimated 20 MPG city/27 highway. With available trailering equipment, this engine can tow up to 4,500 lbs
- A 2.0L Turbo, standard on 2LT, 3LT, and Premier, creates 227 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, with an EPA-estimated 22 MPG city/29 highway.
- A 2.5L engine, standard on L and 1LT, offers 193 horsepower and 188 lb.-ft. of torque, with an EPA-estimated 21 MPG city/27 highway.
How is it on the road?
Experience driving like you never have before in the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer, with its new Driver Mode Selector dial, allowing you to choose a driving mode to match any weather or road condition. You can choose from the following modes:
- Tour: Most driving situations will call for this mode, as it’s the most fuel-efficient mode due to sending all of the Blazer’s power to the front wheels.
- Snow/Ice: Conquer winter with this mode, as it increases traction and control for a safer and smoother winter driving experience. Also known as AWD mode on all-wheel-drive equipped Blazer models.
- Sport: Enjoy the increased steering response, faster shift points and acceleration while in Sport mode.
- Off-Road: This mode helps distribute torque to all four wheels for optimal performance on loose gravel or dirt roads.
- Tow/Haul: This mode uses modified shift points to increase torque and power output while hauling. Available on all 3.6-liter equipped models with appropriate trailering equipment.
Get a taste of Chevrolet’s historic racing heritage with the all-new Blazer RS. This all-new model comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with a whopping 308-horsepower paired up to a twin-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive drivetrain.
Enjoy every ounce of power in the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer thanks to a suite of standard safety features, including front and rear disc brakes, Duralife rotors, Auto-Dry Brakes and 4-channel anti-lock brakes. With the Auto-Dry Brake feature, the Blazer moves its brake pads closer to the rotors for increased moisture-wicking, allowing for better braking performance and quicker stop times.
